We just LOVE Yorkshire, and there is nothing better than getting invited to film a wonderful homespun Yorkshire wedding. The nuptials of the delightful Michael and Jane took place at the picturesque church of St Mary the Virgin in Ponteland. The sun truly shone for these two, on one of the warmest days of the year, we were spoilt for sunlit backdrops and lens flare, leafy trees and early Summer flowers. Just gorgeous. Jane and her wedding entourage were a delight to spend time with on the morning of the big day. We just loved the details Jane had chosen, fresh pastels, and a dress Grace Kelly would have been envious of. We spent the day with the fantastic Matt Brown Photography and wedding planner Charlotte of Eden and Eve. We made a fabulous team! The church service was beautiful and accompanied by some beautiful singing by the Choir and Jane's cousin Clare. Onwards to the absolutely fabulous Vallum Farm, situated amongst fields of golden yellow and lush green in the Northumberland countryside. Held in a fantastic marquee Jane and Michael's reception centred around local produce, and wonderful food, menu's were devised by the notorious David Kennedy, guests were not disappointed. Finishing touches of homemade ice cream by Jane and Michael themselves, and beautiful decor - rustic lavender and rosemary framed the room alongside flower arrangements that seemed to grow from the white linen tables, garden like in appearence. It was really stunning.
The day itself was perfect in every way, nothing less then these two deserve. We were swept up in their love of family and each other and can only wish then the very best in their lives together. Congratulations Michael and Jane, enjoy this little reminder of your day....
