Niall and Gemma's wedding, held in Bishop Monkton near Harrogate, was a delightful homespun affair, hosted by Niall's parents. A fantastic marquee at the family home's back garden set the scene for this elaborate and classy day, with stunning Bride, Gemma, and Yorkshire boy-at-heart, Niall.
Gemma's smile lit up the room as we arrived at the plush Hotel Du Vin in Harrogate, the host for bridal preparations, and all things girly! It was a hub of activity, accompanied by Radio 6 soundtrack and a pleasing amount of bubbly. We were delighted to be working with the photographic charms of James & Lianne who were brilliant on the day, and their pictures are stunning! A traditional church wedding held at the St Johns Crescent Church, an establishment that runs right through the veins of Niall's family, which presented some heartwarming family ties, was the perfect setting for the nuptials of these lovely two, and was followed by bubble confetti (a great idea if your church won't let you throw actual confetti!) outside the church. The wedding party then strolled along the beck to Niall's family home, welcomed by champagne and stunning canapé's! A large curtain revealed the wedding breakfast room, which was stunningly decorated with lanterns and flower arrangements, time, and so much effort had gone into making sure this day was truly spectacular.
Detail aside, our favourite bits of the day, were just hanging out with Niall and Gemma, getting shots of them together as couple around Niall's family home, a village that he grew up in and had stories about every corner! We loved capturing the two of them, so natural and relaxed and in love. We got some gorgeous stuff, and worked well into the evening as the band started and the dance floor filled up. Niall and Gemma's eyes never left each other, and we loved seeing the two of them float around the dance floor for their first dance. Just. beautiful. We love you both and hope that you really do have a fabulous journey in life together. Here is your little film trailer;
