With a bit of magic from Michelle Amy Weddings Vicky and Zach pulled of the ultimate festival wedding and beautiful woodland humanist wedding ceremony! We dodged the rain but it really just added to the fun! We loved filming this outdoor ceremony, and the fun festival theme. Held at home on Vicky's parents farm, we were lucky enough to get out in to some lovely long grass and country landscapes with the brilliant Kate Gray Photography . Vicky looked the part in her gorgeous bohemian styled Yolan Cris separates. What a day, we absolutely love this trailer! Enjoy!
Jess is just one of those people who lights up the room, her gorgeous and warm smile is so endearing and we were so happy to be brought in to film her homespun wedding to Paul. A church ceremony held at Skirlaugh church, a venue close to my own heart (in the village that I went to school) and then on to the delightful Rise Hall. Jess hadn't missed a detail, and we were spoilt with the attention she had crafted and thought of, particularly at Rise, which was decorated beautifully. We were treated to spending the day with the brilliant photographers Dom and Zoe Wright and Helen Davies and her team, who seamlessly operate festivities at Rise.
We are delighted to share this little taste of a fun filled day;
Love, laughter and good fun was what Sam and Kelly wanted from their big day, held at the stunning Natural Retreats in North Yorkshire. An outdoor ceremony and marquee decorated with chandeliers, flat caps and pipes for the boys and a scattering of sparkle for the new Mrs North. Sam and Kelly held a truly international affair with friends and family flying over from all corners of the world, the beauty of holding the day at Natural Retreats was that everyone was in one place, together to enjoy the weekend and created a real party atmosphere! We loved working with the brilliant Paul Liddement Wedding Stories who's photo's are gorgeous, you can view them here . Forage and Blossom created the beautiful and elegant florals, a stunning arch for the ceremony, natural whites and greens for the bouquets which married to the surroundings. The day was fun from start to finish and we love their upbeat wedding trailer which captures the day perfectly. Congratulations you lovely two! x
Oh my, I don't really know where to start with this one. It was our absolute most favourite wedding so far this year, we had a perfect day, outdoor ceremony, cute dogs and our gorgeous couple, Hannah and Pete who we have known for a while now. We were booked by these lovely two after filming the equally beautiful wedding last year of Hannah's brother, Dan and his gorgeous now Wife, Loveday. This family just radiate love and hope and fun and we are head over heels for them all. The Green in Liskeard is a stunning setting too, high on the hills surrounded by country meadows and the cottages on site are really lovely. We even managed to take a little holiday in nearby Fowey ourselves, so we really did make the most of our Cornwall adventures! The outdoor ceremony was picture perfect with rustic touches, hay bales and bundles of hand tied white gyp and lavender. The theme of Mad Hatters Tea Party in the wedding breakfast room presented 'Drink Me' favours, and a delicious afternoon tea. The most striking thing about Hannah and Pete's day, was really the love for each other and everyone attending, it was the best atmosphere! They are just a gorgeous pair and it really radiates from them, filming with them was just a dream. We just wanted to take this opportunity to say congratulations to you both, we wish you so much love and happiness for your future! P & E xx
George and Lorna put on a beautifully rustic day at the fabulous Askham Hall. This stunning location lends itself so gracefully to those tiny details that makes each wedding so unique. A rustic, vintage travel theme graced us on George and Lorna's big day, and we were so excited to be back at one of our favourite venues! The barn looked stunning with hand tied flowers, bay trees and orbs of light hanging effortlessly from the vaulted beams. We loved the vintage camera centre pieces for the wedding breakfast and lace edged cakes. It is so inspiring seeing different venues tackle the changing seasons, and with the end of Winter nearly upon us and as if so timely, the tinniest of buds and daffodils carefully blessed the day, a hint at the begging of a new life and a bright future for George and Lorna. It was the perfect day to mark the beginnings of Spring and we wish this lovely two all the best for the happiest of ever afters.
These days there are very few feature films or television program that don't contain some visual effects. Even things that you don't expect to contain visual effects, like romantic comedies, do contain them. They contain what is known in the industry as "invisible visual effects". These are effects that the audience doesn't realise are effects, as apposed to obvious visual effects like a giant dinosaur. Invisible effects are things like replacing a sky with a more interesting sky or replacing a green screen to make it look like an actor is outside rather than in a studio. I know this because for over ten years I have been a visual effects editor, working on feature films including Prince of Persia, Skyfall and Edge of Tomorrow.
When I work on wedding films for Silver Sixpence Films I approach them in the same way I do a feature film, and this includes using visual effects where I feel they can make something more cinematic.
In the past I have enhanced shots in our wedding films by replacing the sky when it has been very cloudy, I have removed cars and unsightly objects from the backgrounds of shots when they distract from the bride and groom, I have even removed photographers from shots when they spoil the composition, made it look like a groom is fantastic at playing pool, and added many more invisible effects to improve our films. You can see some of the recent visual effects we have done in our reel below and it's another example of the time and effort we go to to make sure that our wedding films are as beautiful and cinematic as possible. We are quite possibly the only wedding film company in the world that can offer this as part of our service which is all thanks to our feature film experience.
