Saltmarshe Hall in Howden, East Yorkshire is the perfect wedding venue. Seriously! It’s a Videographer and Photographers dream, stunning rooms, light, bright and airy. The grounds are so nice, a quaint walled garden, beautifully planted, lots of lovely old brick walls, sweeping driveways, you name it Saltmarshe Hall has it. We loved shooting there alongside our friends Fossca Photography and are delighted with this lovely wedding trailer. We can’t wait to go back!
A gorgeous traditional wedding film shot at the darling Chatsworth House in North Yorkshire, what an incredibly stunning day! We were delighted to work alongside Jo and Simon at Shoot Photography and meet Rachael and David's lovely Dashund pups!
We love a traditional English garden wedding and Tom and Alice, held a quintessential day, filled with sunshine and smiles. Tom and Alice also shared their wedding day with a very special event and a very special couple, namely Harry and Meghan. The Royal Wedding certainly set the tone for the day, and spirits were high and excitable. We loved the traditional church ceremony and marquee setting, hosted at Alice's family home in Sussex. It was great to work with our pal down South, Kelly at Lola Rose Photography . For garden wedding inspo watch this lovely taster of their day, here...
We have been blessed with some amazing weather recently and Laura and James' April wedding did not disappoint! With a Ceremony held at the picturesque St Michaels at Bailiffgate and reception at the gorgeous Newton Hall. We loved filming alongside photographer Andy Hudson and had the most amazing outing to nearby Newton by the Sea to get footage at sunset. We are so delighted with this little wedding film taster of a perfect wedding day! Look out for Laura's gorgeous Jenny Packham wedding dress, it's a beaut!
Joe and Michelle were married at the amazing Market Place Farm in Brough, East Yorkshire. We are local Yorkshire wedding videographers so this stunning venue is just round the corner from us. It's amazing setting high in the Yorkshire Wolds is perfect for a romantic marquee wedding. We loved working with our friend, the talented Carly Bevan Photography and other local suppliers, including Bohemia Floral Design in Hornsea.
The beautiful spot at Knipe Hall in the heart of the Lake District hosted Andy and Amy's very special wedding day. We were delighted to be asked to film their wedding day and produce a beautiful bespoke wedding film for them. Knipe Hall is the perfect backdrop for a stunning DIY wedding, in this case, helped along by the fantastic Sprinkle of Magic Wedding Planners. The day was captured by the fantastic Emma B Photography . What a perfect day it was, here is a lovely little preview...
We always get the best clients when we film weddings at The Crab and Lobster in Thirsk. It is such a fantastic country venue. So quirky and different. We had a fantastic day with Charlotte and Jonty filming their very laid back wedding, teaming up with our pal Ryan at Shutter Go Click Photography, amazing weather, fab suppliers and lovely, lovely clients and what a dress! Charlotte, you rocked it!
A beautiful County Durham wedding at Lartington Hall for Daniel and Hannah! An amazing venue, tonnes of beautiful light and lovely grounds. Ceremony was held in Aycliffe Village near to the family home, we loved filming with these two, such a lovely day, despite being a bit wet!
Such a perfect sunny April day for Charlotte and Neil's gorgeous wedding day in Oxfordshire. Opting for a traditional church service in Bicester, the reception was held on the Oak Tree Farm in Doddershall, the vibes were fun, floral and rustic. Charlotte's attention to detail was sublime, everything looked so beautiful at every turn. Florals, courtesy of The Great Little Flower Company were bunched into rustic hand ties, table arrangements sporting bluebells growing from mossy beds, succulents and lily of the valley, it was a wondrous meadow of Spring flowers! We loved working with the brilliant Kari Bellamy photography, a delight in person and in print, what a superstar. You can see her brilliant photos from this fabulous day here. There was no end to the cosying up round fire pits, jumping on hay bales and basking in the beautiful April sunlight for their guests, and a brilliant evening party. Congratulations again Charlotte and Neil, here's to a very happy life together and some fantastic memories! xx
St James Church in Castle Eden set the tone for this romantic Autumn wedding. Posting this makes me wish away the Summer for golden tones, rich spices and heart foods that come with my favourite season. Rustic hand tied blooms, earthy and warm in texture and colour, littered with painted golden pumpkins, pine cones and seasonal fruits made up the decor at the impressive County Hall in Durham, where our couple held their weding breakfast. Alex's look, classic and elegant, teamed with Ewan's smart kilt in deep navy and green was a dream to shoot and we loved every minute spent with this warm and loving pair. Get cosy, light the last fire of the season and enjoy this nod to a lovers Autumn and all it has to offer. x
It was a family-led fun filled International day for the lovely Percy and Louise at the Baltic Mill in Newcastle. We loved working with fab photographer Sean Elliot Photography and the team at the Baltic seamlessly running the day to perfection. It was great to work with industrial textures and vibrant colours, Louise's vision was really stunning and we loved the bright balloons and the grand entrance over the Bridge. Newcastle is a fab setting for a wedding, its urban landscape was such fun to work with, especially as we had a dark and stormy day with intermittent rays of glorious sunshine! We loved it! Here is a little taster, and we wish them both a wonderful life together. x
Oh my, I don't really know where to start with this one. It was our absolute most favourite wedding so far this year, we had a perfect day, outdoor ceremony, cute dogs and our gorgeous couple, Hannah and Pete who we have known for a while now. We were booked by these lovely two after filming the equally beautiful wedding last year of Hannah's brother, Dan and his gorgeous now Wife, Loveday. This family just radiate love and hope and fun and we are head over heels for them all. The Green in Liskeard is a stunning setting too, high on the hills surrounded by country meadows and the cottages on site are really lovely. We even managed to take a little holiday in nearby Fowey ourselves, so we really did make the most of our Cornwall adventures! The outdoor ceremony was picture perfect with rustic touches, hay bales and bundles of hand tied white gyp and lavender. The theme of Mad Hatters Tea Party in the wedding breakfast room presented 'Drink Me' favours, and a delicious afternoon tea. The most striking thing about Hannah and Pete's day, was really the love for each other and everyone attending, it was the best atmosphere! They are just a gorgeous pair and it really radiates from them, filming with them was just a dream. We just wanted to take this opportunity to say congratulations to you both, we wish you so much love and happiness for your future! P & E xx
The gorgeous Scott and Stephanie held a very glamorous affair at their beautiful London wedding. Kicking off with a military service at the St Clement Danes church in Holborn, a shrine to the RAF and a tranquil and beautiful place to say their vows. Local landmarks framed the day and were the background for the celebrations. Drinks were held at Somerset House and then on to the exclusive Lancaster House, next to Buckingham Palace. We felt very special indeed! Guests dressed in beautiful black tie and gowns for the evening reception and were treated to a delicious formal dinner by Create, who also supplied the amazing 'Midsummer Nights Dream' themed decor (which was stunning!). Scott cut the cake with his sword, which was awesome, and the party danced the night away. Shout out to our pals at Nellie Photography and Belle Studio photo booth who we loved! It was the perfect day, and we are really proud to show off a little taster film here;
We are so lucky to work in some of the most beautiful places, and we just love filming in the Lake District, so we jumped at the chance to film for Ruth & Tico when our good friend WeddingsByAnnabel contacted us. The lovely Rampsbeck Hotel in Ullswater hosted this unique day, and it was a close knit friends and family affair. Ruth and Tico and their beautiful baby girl kept us in smiles and good spirits and were just so much fun to be around. Everywhere we looked we were spoilt with amazing views and scenery. Ruth and Tico's personal additions to the day were wonderful, they two met whilst playing World of Warcraft and so the decor and details gave a nod to that. It was a pleasure working with photographer Helen Whitaker who matched our informal style of filming perfectly and the gorgeous and amazing Annabel (wedding coordinator) of course! We are happy to present this little film to Ruth & Tico as a reminder of their very special day, your final film will be whizzing its way to the Netherlands soon! x
George and Lorna put on a beautifully rustic day at the fabulous Askham Hall. This stunning location lends itself so gracefully to those tiny details that makes each wedding so unique. A rustic, vintage travel theme graced us on George and Lorna's big day, and we were so excited to be back at one of our favourite venues! The barn looked stunning with hand tied flowers, bay trees and orbs of light hanging effortlessly from the vaulted beams. We loved the vintage camera centre pieces for the wedding breakfast and lace edged cakes. It is so inspiring seeing different venues tackle the changing seasons, and with the end of Winter nearly upon us and as if so timely, the tinniest of buds and daffodils carefully blessed the day, a hint at the begging of a new life and a bright future for George and Lorna. It was the perfect day to mark the beginnings of Spring and we wish this lovely two all the best for the happiest of ever afters.
We really love working with elite hotels, and The Corinthia comes high upon the elite list. Nested gracefully on the banks of the Thames, this hidden luxury hotel hosts a wealth of beauty, elegance and divine interiors, suites and spaces. Catriona and Tom held their beautiful winter wedding day around this glorious hotel. Starting the day with a touch of pampering by staff at Danial Gavin for groom Tom, and a girly get together with family and friends for Catriona. Nuptuials were held at the St Etheldreda church in the heart of Holborn, a secret place of divine clam in the centre of bustling streets. We were treated to the sophisticated sights of Catriona and Tom making their way back to the hotel in a fabulous horse and carriage.
Evening entertainment, provided as a fantastic surprise for Tom, was kicked of by Catriona serenading our innocent Groom following the cake cutting, only to be interrupted by some unruly guests. True form was soon revealed as singing trio Incognito. They had everyone on the dance floor in 30 seconds flat, and even we couldn't help bopping along to the Grease medley! Big thanks to the very talented photographer Jez Dickenson, you can see his stunning photo's of the big day here. A mention too for the wonderful Claire Bowpitt at the Corinthia for seamlessly running the day and looking after us all!
A stunning day full of brilliant surprises and we loved putting this little film together for Catriona and Tom, so enjoy!
We love Christmas, and we love a good pub, so we were delighted to be asked to film the Christmas, pub themed wedding of Ainsley and Zoe at the St John's School in Leatherhead. Famous for it's wood panelled dining hall having inspired the Great Hall in the Harry Potter series, we knew that the surroundings wouldn't disappoint, and they didn't!
The most enormous Christmas tree inspired the girls sparkling decor, with baubles as favours, pub grub and a port toast, it was a warming day, filled with heartfelt words, and a religious blessing from close colleagues of Ainsley's. Beautiful choral singing filled the church during the service with winter hymns and songs and canapes and champagne to follow. A fabulous bunch of jet setting friends and family joined Ainsley and Zoe for their special day. Many flying over from New Zealand, Ainsley's home country. We all enjoyed sparklers as night fell and the rush to get warm in the wedding breakfast hall. A spectacular cake mapped out the girls favourite things, Lego, pubs and cosy nights in. We are very happy to offer this little slice of their perfect day, and hope that it brings much joy for many years to come. Congratulations Ainsley and Zoe!
We love to hear feedback on our work, and it makes us so happy when we receive emails like these from our clients! We have had these words sitting in our inbox and I wanted to share them with our Brides and Grooms-to-be, and other couples out there who may be thinking of having a wedding film, but still haven't taken the plunge! We hear over and over again, that we were the best decision our couples made on the big day, and that makes us smile. So have a read and get in touch!
"We were really pleased with everything Penny and Ed did. They fitted in at the wedding perfectly blending in with our guests really well (a number of guests said they did not even know we had been filming on the day when we showed them the video!). We felt so relaxed with both penny and Ed from the minute we met them (over Skype initially) and that was completely down to them and this helped enormously.
During the day we had a great laugh with both Penny and Ed meaning the filming was a really enjoyable part of the wedding, rather than us having a feeling of being away from the day when we did some individuals shoots. Finally, the videos were just fantastic (which obviously helps) and brought back all the amazing memories of the day in a way that photos just can’t do. I would recommend everyone get a video done and even more so use Penny and Ed to do it". Gemma & Niall
"Just to say thank you so much for the BEAUTIFUL package that we received on Saturday. We couldn't wait to open it and we were so excited to watch the film. It is truly fantastic, we were completely blown away and love every second- we found watching it very emptional! It's so brilliant to be able to relive the day on the film, it's captured absolutely perfectly, you have both done such an amazing job. The music on the film is brilliant too and complements the footage perfectly.
We can't thank you both enough for capturing our memories and we really appreciate all the time, effort and hard work you both spent on the films. It really shows in such a beautiful film." Oliver & Jenna
"Just to let you know we received our wedding film (Beautifully packaged!) The film is absolutely amazing, we love it! it has captured the day perfectly and it will be something can watch and treasure for years to come. We still receive so many complements about the wedding trailer, I cant stop watching it! Thank you for all your time and effort and being so lovely throughout our whole wedding experience. By far one of the best decisions we made was having a wedding film and we were so lucky to find you.
We honestly cant recommend you enough." Tom & Leanne
"Choosing Silver Sixpence Films was the single best decision we made when planning our wedding. We did alot of research into videographers and watched many wedding trailers, but when we saw Ed & Penny's work we knew we had found The One!
We had a very small wedding with just 20 guests, and lots of people commented on the fact that they barely noticed the cameras - they were unobtrusive and captured all the details of the day without ever being in the way. Having asked to have the bridal preparations captured as well, I can say that both Ed and Penny were a pleasure to spend time with, even with lots of excitement and nerves on my part.
The trailer and wedding film are so beautiful, we cannot thank Ed and Penny enough for making us look our best and for managing to capture the emotion of the day, as well as delivering it to us in beautiful packaging. The film has been the perfect way to share our wedding with friends and family, and for us to relive it again and again. It still gives me goosebumps on viewing #7 and counting...!" Dave and Lauren
"It was so lovely to come home from work on a boring Tuesday evening and receive the wedding film in the post. It was a joy to open the lovely packaged box and find our film inside. The film is truly beautiful and you have managed to capture the feeling and atmosphere of the day so well. A lot of our family and friends have been able to watch the film with us already & everyone has a tear in there eyes and comments on how wonderful it is!
We honestly couldn't have wished for anything better, and know that the film will get watched over and over again for the rest of our lives. It provides something different to photos, moving images with a soundtrack that captures the emotion of the day, & gives us lasting memories that are brought to life. Penny and Ed you are very talented and were a joy to have around on our wedding day. All I would say is I would recommend you to anyone as your creativity & vision has given us a beautiful wedding film that we will treasure forever. Thank you so much and I hope that you go on to make lots of amazing wedding films for other couples." Kevin & Lucy
"We want to say a huge thank you! The video is just wonderful! I was crying my eyes out the first 2 or 3 times i watched it, as it brought back so many emotions from the day. I love how you captured the speeches and our vows, and edited them so nicely into the video capturing so many moments in such an eloquent video of the day. The music you have used for both the trailer and the longer movie are so lovely and so fitting! The more we watch the videos the more we fell in love with them!
Ive watched the video almost everyday and i know our parents and friends are enjoying it too. We really appreciate how you have captured such precious moments and emotions of our closest family. These will last a life time as they are kept alive through the video, moments you have helped to capture for us forever.
Your packaging is lovely, im a huge fan of stationary and nice packaging and i just loved recieving such a adorable package for our wedding video! Thank you once again!" Jorge & Sarah
We love a lively wedding! One with such flair and fun is a dream to shoot, and wow, didn't Jorge and Sarah hold a lively wedding! The whole day was filled with joy and laughter and these two were so fabulous to film. We totally loved meeting our new besties Red On Blonde who were a match made in heaven for our videography style. We LOVED working with them and their photographs are fantastic!! The wedding itself was at the beautiful Askham Hall in Cumbria, a picture perfect country setting. Weddings By Annabel organised and arranged the day for this jet setting couple, who live and work in far flung places across the globe. We were a total dream team, but it was when the tequila came out and the Mariachi band came on that we knew we had a winner! I love the colour of the beautiful flowers and elegant coral bridesmaids dresses that Sarah chose, marrying perfectly with the brightly coloured Mexican flags and decorations. This is a great one! Watch it here.....
We understand that every Bride and Groom has a budget and that it can be hard to understand why companies supplying a similar product can cover such a range of fees. How much you pay for a wedding film will always depend on your budget but it is worth understanding why videographers charge what they do for a wedding video and what you can expect for your price.
Making a wedding film can take a lot of time and expertise and requires the use of a lot of expensive equipment. Like many services there are a huge variety of prices and services on offer. Your entry level videographer will normally charge less than £500 to come and film your wedding day. For this very low price you are unlikely to get the best equipment and your finished wedding film will almost certainly be quickly edited to a pre-existing template. Whilst the end result may still serve as a lovely reminder of your day it is unlikely to be beautifully crafted, and make you look like a movie star and become the envy of your friends! Videographers in this price range are often not entirely dedicated to making wedding films and will usually have another job during the week so they can afford to keep their prices low. As a result you can often expect lengthly delays with receiving your wedding video and limited communication about the finished product.
Your middle priced wedding filmmaker will charge between £1000 - £2500 and for this price you will get a much more professional and cinematic wedding video. Unlike your entry level videographers you will likely have more than one camera person attending your wedding, using high quality equipment (including steady cams, monopods, sliders and a variety of lenses), enabling them to capture all the detail from lots of different angles. Film makers from this price range will usually take a lot of time on carefully editing and grading your wedding film to be unique and beautiful, and the end result will be something you treasure forever and that your friends and family will love to watch again and again.
Your premium wedding videographer will be priced between £2000 - £5000 and you can expect them to arrive with potentially a whole crew of camera men and expensive equipment including camera cranes and aerial cameras. They will possibly only work on a small number of weddings a year and will be used to dealing with high end clients.
Silver Sixpence Films have priced ourselves to start just below the middle price range bracket. We want our wedding films to be available to as many people as possible but didn't want to sacrifice the quality we are able to provide as a result of charging too little. Our trailer only package is as cheap as £695 and we do discounts as often as possible, particularly for weekday or off-season weddings but we always put the same care and attention into our finished films as we love creating beautiful, cinematic, high quality wedding videos for our clients.
