Your wedding is likely to be the most important day of your life and so we know that you will have a lot of questions to ask us to make sure we are the right fit for your special day. We are very happy to respond to any questions that you email to us (firstname.lastname@example.org) or talk to you on the phone (07841143118), but here are the answers to some of the most common questions that we get asked:
What areas do we cover?
We are based in East Yorkshire but work all around the UK and overseas too. Bookings outside of Yorkshire will include an additional charge for travel costs but we try and keep these as low as possible. Overseas bookings will also require you to pay for travel and accommodation.
What types of wedding and events do we shoot?
We are happy to cover any type of wedding or event; church weddings, civil ceremonies, Indian weddings, Chinese weddings, same sex marriages, christenings, engagement parties, birthday parties, anniversaries, hen and stag parties - if you want us to capture it we are happy to put a quote together for you.
How do we set our videography/photography prices?
The prices we charge are decided on a number of factors:
Number of cameras and camera persons on the day.
Time spent filming/photographing on the day.
Length of the finished film.
We bring at least £15,000 worth of equipment with us to each wedding and spend at least one whole week editing your wedding film, (often up to three weeks). We have over twelve years experience shooting films but are aware of how tight budgets can be when organising a wedding and so have set our prices as low as we possibly can. We aren't the cheapest wedding film company around but if you want a beautiful, cinematic film and natural photographs we are confident you will find us very reasonably priced. Some discounts are available for last minute bookings, week day weddings and out of season weddings so it is always worth contacting us directly to ask for a quote (email@example.com).
Do we offer photography?
Yes we do and we have a dedicated photographer that will shoot your day. You can hire us for just photography or add on one of our video packages.
Will we work with other photographers/videographers?
Yes, if you decide not to book us for both film and photograph we are very happy to work with other suppliers. We have a lot of experience working as a team with many different companies and really enjoy working alongside these professionals. We are regularly complimented about how well we work with photographers and videographers we have just met on the day.
Can we provide the full ceremony and/or the full speeches as an extra on the USB?
With the Platinum Package you already get the full ceremony and speeches (from one camera) included on your USB as an extra (if we are permitted to film), however if you want to go for the Gold Package and still want these included as an extra, or if you want a two camera edit, we can provide this, but there will be an added cost. It is also useful if you can let us know that you would like this ahead of your wedding day as we tend to shoot things slightly differently if we know it is going to be used in it's entirety. If you want to get a quote or discuss this please email us for a chat (firstname.lastname@example.org).
Can we provide the RAW video footage or RAW photos from the day?
No, we strongly believe that one of the reasons you would hire us is so you don't have to see the RAW footage or photos from the day. For video there will be hours of RAW footage which will be ungraded, uncompressed and in a format that likely won't play on your computer unless you are an editor. We only release footage we have processed and graded and images that have been edited by us.
What equipment do we use for filming?
We shoot all of our wedding films using the excellent Panasonic GH5. These cameras capture beautiful, cinematic HD quality video in 4K. We capture the sound using several professional audio recording devices and microphones to make sure that the quality is as good as possible. We also bring along our wide range of professional camera support systems including tripods, monopods and steady cams in order to add the wow factor to all the shots that we capture at each wedding.
What equipment do we use for Photography?
For our photography we use two Sony A9 full frame cameras with a collection of top of the range lenses. This camera system gets incredible results and can even take photographs completely silently, which is great for those quiet moments such as during the ceremony. We shoot using natural light as much as possible, but we do use some flash once it gets dark.
Do we do bespoke packages?
We know that no two weddings are alike and as such are very happy to tailor a package to your specific requirements. Please email us to discuss (email@example.com).
How do I book?
Once you have confirmed that you want to book we will send you an invoice for a non refundable £250 deposit. As soon as this has been paid your date will be secure. We will then arrange a pre-wedding consultation so that we can get to know you and more about your wedding before the big day.
Why should you hire a professional photographer?
In todays world everyone has access to photography, using their phones or tablets, as well as compact or even professional DSLRs. As such it can be tempting to see a professional photographer as an unnecessary expense, but a professional photographer will bring years of experience to your day, along with being completely dedicated to capturing all the beautiful moments without becoming distracted as a guest photographer is likely to do. A professional photographer will know where the best light is (and therefore where the best pictures will be taken), as well as knowing how to spend his time to get the best possible record of your day. We aim to capture the day in a discreet, natural style, so that you can relax and enjoy your day, knowing that you are in safe hands and that we will take a collection of images that will help you relive your wedding for years to come.
Why should you have a wedding film?
We know that having a wedding film is not at the top of most peoples priority list when organising a wedding, but we also know that having one is regularly one of the best decisions brides and grooms feel that they made after their wedding day and one of the things that brides and grooms regret not having if they don't opt to have one. We are regularly told that it is our wedding film that people watch year after year on their anniversary to remind them of their special day and that it is our wedding film, rather than the photographs that really captured the feel of the day. We pride ourselves in being told that our films have moved people to tears because of how beautifully they remind everyone of such a perfect and important day in their lives.
Our wedding films are not the traditional four hour, real time videos of old, instead we carefully film and edit your day into a beautifully crafted cinematic film that you and your friends will want to watch again and again. We take great care to create a finished product that is moving and interesting even to people who don't know the bride and groom.
What can the couple expect on a wedding day?
We shoot both video and photography in a reportage style and therefore try and remain as invisible as possible during your wedding. It is important to us that you are able to relax and enjoy your day without worrying about us so we will liaise with one of your bridesmaids or groomsmen on the day leaving you free to enjoy yourselves knowing that we are capturing beautiful images and footage. We do recommend that you put aside 10-15 minutes of time to spend just with us to guarantee that we have some lovely shots of just the two of you but we aim to make this as relaxed and fun as possible.
Do we have insurance?
We have public liability insurance up to £5 million. Copies of our insurance policy are available on request.
What music do you use for the wedding film?
We only use music that we can officially license because it is important that you are free to watch and share your wedding film without worrying that you are in breech of copyright regulations. We choose beautiful, emotional music for each film, taking care to make sure it fits in with the style and atmosphere of the day. We tend to use these websites to source our music:
If there are any questions that we haven't answered here or if you want anything clarified, or just to chat we will be more than happy to respond to you (firstname.lastname@example.org/07841143118).
